Sr. High Parents

Dear Parents,
The Youth ministry at Sonlight Community CRC is dedicated to joining parents as they raise their (pre)teens to grow in their faith. In addition, we strive to be a means for families to come to know Christ though the experiences their teens have. Specifically, Sonlight youth ministry exists to reach non believing students, to connect them with other Christians, to help them grow in their faith, and to challenge the growing to discover their ministry, honoring God with their lives. We desperately want to be seen as your ally. We believe that teens need a trustworthy, God fearing individual outside of their family unit who they can confide in. When this happens the strength of our community works for all our (pre)teens benefit!
As parents, we need your help as much as you need ours! That is the great thing about our relationship. Firstly, we need to know how we can serve you and your family better. We're all ears over here. So tell us what you like, what you don’t, and give us some tips on how to improve! You can call us at the church, email us, or stop by the office. All channels are wide open so we can serve you best.
Secondly, we need you to pray. Pray through the event calendar as you see it. Ask the Lords blessing on the relationships that are developed between students to students and students to leaders.; Prayer for safety, and finally pray for the powerful, clear movement of the Holy Spirt as we seek the Fathers will.
We are so excited about your kids and really wanna be a great influence in their lives. You’ve got nothing more precious to entrust in our care. We take that very seriously. We are very purposeful in our approach to youth ministry. We recognize that every student is in a different place in their walk and try to reach them where they’re at. This means our youth events will often take on a different look throughout the week and year. Sometimes we are deep in the word; other times we are deep in making ridiculous memories. Regardless, we are always about seeking Him and building community.
